As the sole instructional designer and developer, I designed the instructional strategy, visual identity, learner interactions, Storyline development, and assessment activities. Human Performance Technology introduces learners to systems thinking, performance analysis, and root cause investigation, concepts that are often perceived as theoretical and difficult to apply. Traditional instruction often emphasizes terminology and models without providing meaningful opportunities for learners to practice analyzing real workplace situations.
The challenge was to design an engaging eLearning experience that transformed these abstract concepts into authentic, scenario-based learning. By placing learners in the role of a performance consultant investigating operational challenges at Burger Barn, the course encourages critical thinking, problem-solving, and the practical application of performance improvement principles.

As the sole instructional designer and developer, I led every phase of the project from concept through final course development. Drawing on my own experience learning Human Performance Technology, I intentionally designed the course for beginners by breaking complex concepts into manageable, engaging learning experiences. I developed the instructional strategy, course architecture, storyboard, narration, interactive activities, assessments, visual design, and the complete Articulate Storyline implementation.
Throughout the project, I focused on making abstract performance-improvement concepts more approachable through realistic workplace scenarios, progressive learning activities, and immediate feedback.
